Stck.me Interview Series with Cheryl

Presenting the stck.me Interview Series, where, every week we speak to your favorite creators, and learn about their work and how they are using our platform to enhance their community.

On our twenty-ninth blog in this series, we speak to Cheryl, Writer on stck.me.

In this interview series, we speak to her about her creative interests, what she majorly writes, her favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, and looking for content on social media, and her experience with the platform, stck.me, and much more.

What was your biggest expectation from stck.me when you created your account?

My biggest expectation was to find a free platform that my readers could use, and I would also get a little benefit out of it. So it could be a win-win situation for both parties, and the second most important expectation was to find a freelancing platform where I wouldn't be bound by any contract and all the copyrights would stay with me.

How helpful was stck.me in catering to the expectation?

Stck.me was very helpful and still very helpful in catering to those expectations. I can keep my work both paid and free, according to my conviction, and the best part is that I also have the option to give free content to only my followers.

What do you majorly write about?

I like to write about everything. There is no one particular topic. Currently, I am trying to write a political background book with a pinch of romance. I even wrote an army wife's story. How they face everything alone when their soldier sons, husbands, and brothers sacrifice their lives to save their country.

Tell us about some of your successful stck.me blogs? How did your readers react to it?

Well, my two books were ongoing on my previous platform, and I was scared that I would shift the platform in the middle. I don't know how my readers would react, but my books are doing great on the stck.me as well, and I am happy about that. My paid book here is doing great, which I didn't expect, but it is doing great as well.

With stck.me introducing new features with time, do you think that has contributed to the ease of creating content on the platform?

Truth be told, stck.me is still easy to create content; there is a friendly environment, and the team is very helpful here. They always come forward to help us if we have any doubt. I never experienced such helpful teamwork before, and I am sure that with time and new features, it will become more and more easy and will be more popular than other platforms that only run after numbers.

Any suggestions you would like to give us as a team to focus more on?

Everything is still perfect, but if writers could get notifications about likes (with names of readers), and who is voting, it would be helpful to keep track of our progress.

What is your favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, or looking for content on social media?

Well, I don't have any particular favorites for reading. I like to read every kind of book. As for music, I would say it knows no boundaries or barriers to language. I enjoy every kind of music. I listen to what gives me peace, and the vibes don't matter if I even know the language or not. What matters is that my soul is enjoying it.

Social media is for entertainment; sometimes it's good, and sometimes it becomes irritating as well. Everything has its pros and cons. So I just use social media to keep an eye on my favorite stars. About what their next movies or series will be and when or with whom. It was not the question, but I want to say that my favorite genre for watching movies and series is fantasy fiction. I mean, I like action, horror, mystery, thrillers, and comedy as well. But I like fantasy fiction most, like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings, Narina, The House of the Dragon, and every other single one.
