Stck.me Interview Series with Souhardya De

Introducing the stck.me Interview Series, where, every week we speak to your favorite creators, and learn about their work and how they are using our platform to enhance their community.

On our eighth blog in this series, we speak to Souhardya De.

Souhardya De is a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of London, an author, and a podcaster. He is the recipient of the 2021 Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar, the nation’s highest honour for civilians under 18, for his contributions to art and culture. He majorly writes about aspects of ancient civilizational studies, heritage and culture, theological communitarian sociology, and historical fiction.

In this interview series, we speak to him about her creative interests, what he majorly writes, his favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, and looking for content on social media, and his experience with the platform, stck.me, and much more.

What was your biggest expectation from stck.me when you created your account?

That I’d be able to get a personal blog space on the Internet where different media formats (in the likes texts, podcasts, images, and even hyperlinks) would be supported for collating what I create around the web into one stacked up a web-page. Also, that it’d be pretty simple to use and understand, for I ain’t a very great techie.

Stck.me gave me the opportunity to do exactly that, while at the same time, including the ‘contributions’ feature for the supportive audience to contribute!

How helpful was stck.me in catering to the expectation?

Stck.me was, or rather, is my number 1 choice when it comes to blogging and creating a personal space for myself on the Internet. The updated versions that were released lately provided features that essentially surpassed my expectations in truth.

From the social media shareable versions to the weekly promotions that they regularly carry out on different platforms, it has been an amazing experience with Stck.me so far!

What do you majorly write about?

I majorly write about aspects of ancient civilizational studies, heritage and culture, theological communitarian sociology, and historical fiction.

Tell us about some of your successful stck.me blogs? How did your readers react to it?

I think the most successful Stck.me blog I uploaded was a podcast episode of mine, where I read out, with literary commentaries, the English version of Kalidasa’s Abhijnana Shakuntalam, as translated by the Sir Monier-Monier Williams, the late Boden Professor of Sanskrit at the University of Oxford.

That was the last of my first season episodes for the podcast and that it did garner some pretty good listens on the platforms I had linked to, through Stck.me, pushed me further to get working on a Season 2, the constituent episodes of which are all set to be published in 2 months’ time.

With stck.me introducing new features with time, do you think that has contributed to the ease of creating content on the platform?

Indeed! Easy-to-use platforms are what I look for and being honest (unbiased opinion of course), whatever other blog sites may claim, I believe Stck.me tops the list!

Any suggestions you would like to give us as a team to focus more on?

For sure! The amazing social media traction that our content has been getting for the past few months all the more explains why I’m a Stck.me aficionado!

I think it is what makes Stck.me the best blogging platform out there and the team, as it has been very diligently doing, should continue to work on the promotions, the newsletters, the social media story updates and all the other things that come under the parasol, so as to enable Stck.me to retain the popularity it has gained at so fast a pace!

What is your favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, or looking for content on social media?

Anything related to art, architecture, historical fiction or cultural studies interests me.
