Cricket Field Chronicles is a storytelling and engagement platform by Lakshit Singhal that showcases cricket literature in engaging and entertaining forms. His content repository is a unique collection of forgotten stories, cricket fiction, poems, podcasts, documentaries, book/movie reviews, and much more.
In this interview series, we speak to him about his creative interests, what he majorly writes, his favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, and looking for content on social media, and his experience with the platform, stck.me, and much more.
What was your biggest expectation from stck.me when you created your account?
I was looking for a platform that values and supports writers, acts as a home for all my writings, and provides me with ways to monetize it effectively. That stck.me allowed me to post photos, videos, podcasts, and e-books on my profile was an added bonus that helped me diversify my creations and strengthen my brand.
How helpful was stck.me in catering to the expectation?
Very helpful!
As a writer, I intended to focus solely on the creation part, without needing to worry about the technicalities of managing a website or blog. Stck.me provided me with that freedom.
The UI is clean, intuitive and easy to use. The payment options, particularly the UPI support, are well integrated in the ecosystem. Plus, the team at Stck.me constantly makes an effort to maximize the reach of my content through various channels. The whole experience is seamless.
What do you majorly write about?
As the name of my platform suggests, I write about cricket. But if you delve deeper, you will notice it is not your usual run-of-the-mill stuff.
I explore global cricket history and bring stories that are either forgotten or remain untold. My book summaries and reviews are aimed at introducing cricket fans to the vast world of cricket literature. And then there is cricket fiction, where I let my creative instincts take over to create characters and narrate stories the way I want.
For anyone who is even remotely interested in cricket, my content repository will feel unique, educational, and entertaining (or at least I hope so). Check out my journey and future plans with Cricket Field Chronicles in this post below.

With stck.me introducing new features with time, do you think that has contributed to the ease of creating content on the platform?
Absolutely. One thing that I have come to appreciate about Stck.me is their ‘creator first’ philosophy. It has allowed them to carve out features that make our lives easier as a creator. That I can write a single post and also sell my E-Book on the same platform makes Stck.me stand out. I hope it continues to stay the same way.
Any suggestions you would like to give us as a team to focus more on?
I have quite a few suggestions for the team!
I would love to see a ‘categorization’ feature. For someone like me who writes on diverse topics, the ability to categorize my content under separate heads will be very helpful
A search feature that provides the ability to discover creators on the platform. This can come in handy for the purposes of collaboration or networking
Additional ways to intimate my readers/followers whenever I create a new post will be helpful in staying connected to my audience. Right now, the creators only have the option of an email alert
A feature to schedule posts
Since most of the content consumption happens on mobile, a mobile application would make the consumption and sharing of content much easier. It is not a feature per se but something which would be nice to have going forward.
What is your favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, or looking for content on social media?
Anything with even a slight backdrop of cricket would be on top of my reading, listening, and watching list.
