Presenting the stck.me Interview Series, where, every week we speak to your favorite creators, and learn about their work and how they are using our platform to enhance their community.
On our twenty-second blog in this series, we speak to Srihita Vanguri, a writer on stck.me who pens down on poetry, art, pop culture, Interviews, feminism, economics, business, and literature.
In this interview series, we speak to her about her creative interests, what she majorly writes, her favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, and looking for content on social media, and her experience with the platform, stck.me, and much more.
What was your biggest expectation from stck.me when you created your account?
When I created an account on stck.me, I wanted a platform for my writings that had a high standard for writing. I wanted a place where readers could find good quality writings, where I could give them that. I wanted a platform where my writings wouldn't get lost in a sea of others, and stck.me gave me just that. My main expectation from stck.me was that it be a simple and uncomplicated place for readers to find my writings and for some monetary gain.
How helpful was stck.me in catering to the expectation?
Stck.me looked like a platform that had everything I wanted from a writing platform, allowing not just writing but also podcasts, photos, etc., to a simple payment gateway. The payment gateway was it for me as many other platforms have complicated the payment setup while stck.me has it very easy, although I haven't made any money yet.
Another most important is the easy engagement with the readers, readers can simply read and like a post if they enjoyed it without the hassle of signing up, and the Sign-up process is quite simple with Gmail. This makes it easier for the readers who don't like going through a complicated sign-in process where they have to give so many details.
Stck.me has met all my expectations; both readers and writers benefit from its simple yet aesthetic interface.
What do you majorly write about?
I majorly write fiction and poems. In fiction, I'm most comfortable with writing thriller, fantasy, and horror genres, and in poetry, I like to write most about life. While I write nonfiction (like my blog on the African food crisis due to the Russia Ukraine war), I'm more comfortable with fiction.
Tell us about some of your successful stck.me blogs? How did your readers react to it?
My most successful blogs on stck.me would be "War and Food," which is an informative blog on the African food crisis arising due to the Russia Ukraine war, and a poem called "Journey."
I've received good reviews on both, with people calling the former well-researched and the latter motivational. I think "Journey" would be my most successful blog as there were a lot of comments from people saying they were motivated by it.
With stck.me introducing new features with time, do you think that has contributed to the ease of creating content on the platform?
Yes, it has.
Stck.me has many features that make a writer's life easier. The best writing features, I think are hyperlinks, which make it easy to site source, and the podcast feature. Also, there is an option on stck.me where the writer can write blogs exclusively for their followers and make it a paid post, both of which are excellent.
Any suggestions you would like to give us as a team to focus more on?
My only suggestion would be to make the blogs on stck.me to be visible in a Google search.
What is your favorite genre when it comes to reading, listening, or looking for content on social media?
I like my content on social media to be informative, like news or some facts or sometimes my guilty pleasure, something about baking.
